pump it yourself

Living about 60 miles from the Oregon border I sometimes travel to Oregon.Actually I go down I-84 to get to Washougal.Anyways,yes they dont let you pump your own gas and its irritating.You pull up,and sometimes the attendant is there sometimes he/she is not and you wait.I think the intent originaly was to provide jobs in Oregon.There gas prices are no higher then here in Washington,though that could be because Washington has the highest gas tax in the U.S..

Oregon has no sales tax,but they do have a state income tax.Washington has an 8.1% sales tax but no state income tax.Choose your poisen I guess.
